Another update from India

After stepping off the helicopter in Lukla, Dr Michael was straight into work with the team from Himalayan Animal Rescue Trust (HART).

The team set up for a busy day of vaccinating, catching and desexing. They’re mostly “community owned” dogs in this area so lots of patients have already been caught and bought to the team rather than them going out and catching the “street dogs”.

Community dogs have no single owner but hang out in the neighbourhood, fed and cared for by owners. They help defend the area from incoming strays, rabid dogs etc.

And as you can see in the last picture, the weather doesn’t stop for anyone in the Himalaya’s!
