Don’t forget this poor pooch from last Summer!
Hot days bring even hotter ground!
Be careful with your pets this Summer…..
– Don’t walk them in the heat of the day! As a general rule, if you’re unable to walk on the ground in bare feet then your dog can’t either!
– make sure they have plenty of cool, fresh water available.
– plenty of shade is important. If you can, leave your pets inside in the air conditioning if you are lucky enough to have it.
– And don’t forget the Brachycephalic breeds (Bulldogs, Pugs, Boxers, Persians etc) are more sensitive to the heat. They can really struggle to breathe and are more susceptible to heat stroke. Take extra precautions with your Squishy Faces!
